Reception Pictures

3 & 1/2 Weeks Married!!!!

Married life is so wonderful. There is nothing I like more than coming home to my husband at night after a long day of work and classes. I sometimes get really anxious when I know he is home, I want to get home as fast as I can.

Even though we are crazy busy, both going to school full time and working 30 hours I always feel like we have a lot more time together then we did when we were dating; plus we are going to bed early, married life is treating us so well.

HONEYMOON

Dallin Driving to the Airport!
 DAY 1 - Sunday, August 21, 2011
Our honeymoon in California was quite an adventure! We pack everything up from the hotel and jump in the car. On our way to the airport we stopped at walmart to buy some snacks, then we were off! Our honeymoon adventure had begun.

We arrive at the airport 2 hours early to go through security and print off our tickets. We were waiting in the line for the security check just anxious and excited to get on the plane. It was my turn, I took off my shoes, placed my computer in the tray and took out my liquids from my bag. Everything was going fine when they called a bag check on my bag. I was kind of freaking out wondering what I had missed. The lady took me aside while she went through my bag. It so happened that I had put a container of yogurt in the bottom of my bag from breakfast at the hotel. After we found out what had happened we were just laughing about it. It makes life better to laugh it off.

We were able to get on the plane safely. Durring this 2 hour flight next to my Husband it wasnt bad at all. Granted it seemed like a long flight, but we had a good time laughing at the weird magazines and looking out the window. When  we came to a complete stop we got our lugage out of the top compartment of the plane and carried it through the airport to find a shuttle to our hotel.

Sitting outside the Airport waiting for our shuttle
I tell Dallin that I think the hotel is the crystal inn in Anaheim. He looks up the address and we tell the shuttle man where we need to go. We drove in the shuttle for about 35 minutes and we were the first ones he was to drop off, due to the location we were at. We drive closer and closer to the crystal in and Dallin and I start freaking out. We couldnt believe our eyes when he drove around the hotel to drop us off. The shuttle man was trying to be nice when he said, "Have a great Vacation, at least it has a pool." When  the driver left we went to the front desk asking if we had a reservation there. The indian lady didnt know what to say other than do you want to buy a room. Dallin said, "No Thank you" and we immediatly called my mom asking where in the world we were. She promptly told us that we were supposed to go to the quality in 1/2 mile away from Disneyland. While I was on the phone Dal google mapped it and we were about 3.5 miles away from where we were supposed to be.
The Awful Crystal Inn
So we start walking. . . . and walking. . . and walking. We tried to call a taxi, but the people didnt understand us on the phone and it wasnt worth it to them to drive us 3.5 miles. As Dallin tried to look up another number by the bus stop I went to the restroom in a Burger King. We were struggling walking, while we each had a backpack (which mine had the laptop in it) and 30 pound duffels. Not to mention we both had on crapy shoes, me in my flats and Dal in his flip flops. We were just struggling as our bags felt like they were gaining weight with each step we took.

Pushing our heavy bags accross the parking lot.
On our walking adventure we came across a Target. We had to walk accross the parking lot so we placed our bags in the shopping cart and took a break from carying our bags for a little bit.

We walked about a mile. . . then called my mom, she was a nervous wreck worrying about us walking. We were in the middle of a conversation when a car pulled up asking if we wanted a ride. It was a guy and a girl about our age, and I was just tired of walking. We got in the car and we were just getting to know them. They are both college students like us, picking up their little brother from Disneyland because he works there.

As they drop us off we were so grateful and thanked them as we left. We walked a little ways and hear a guy running toward us. It was the same guy from the car. He was asking what we were doing on sunday and gave us a card to come and attend his church. That was really nice of him to stop and ask us. We told him we would be home by then but thanks anyway.

We walked 5 more minutes to our hotel. As we walked into the front door the air conditioned room felt so nice on my face. I sat down in the chair as Dallin talked to the front desk about checking into our hotel room. We finally walk into our room, throw our bags in the corner and crash on the bed. We felt so wiped out.

DAY 2  -Monday, August 22, 2011
We woke up in our hotel around 8:30 ate breakfast downstairs, which included oranges, waffles, and no sugar cereal. It wasnt our favorite breakfast but we figured we would make due with what we had.

First day at DISNEY! The very first ride we went on was Buzlightyear. It was a lot of fun with the lazers trying to get as many points as you can before the ride is over. We had a lot of fun spinning our spacecraft trying to mess each other up. Then we went on Spacemountain, rollercoaster through the stars. which was a lot of fun. After running around in disneyland we decided to go to California Adventure.

On Its a Small World, they let us have our own boat.

DAY 3 - Tuesday August 23, 2011
Today we were planning on going to the beach and exploring, maybe stopping at a few shops on our way there. In our hotel they gave us some pamplets about shops and stores around. We found a shoe store that had a free shuttle, but in order to get a ride back to our hotel we had to buy a pair of shoes. When we arrived at the shoe store they were buy one get one free. Dallin found 2 pair of shoes he really liked, some running shoes and some nice laced up school shoes.

First time at the BEACH!!

Accross the street was a burlington coat factory so we decided to go check it out. We didnt have any towels for the beach so decided to go in and look around. We found some nice gray $5 towels, bought them then waited in the store for the Taxi to come and pick us up.

The Taxi arrived and we were excited to go the beach. We drove 45 miles which was a total of 52 dollars. That seemed like quite a lot of money for a taxi, but it was worth it. We had a good time on the sandy beach, watching all of the people building sand castles and playing in the water.

Day 4 - Wednesday August 24, 2011

Our favorite place to go was Disney animation studios, 1 because you can sit down in an airconditioned room listening to disney songs and screens on the walls showing pictures of drawings before the actual disney characters were created, and 2 because we loved the art studio. It started every half an hour, you would go into a room and be taught to draw a portrat of a Disney character. We loved it so much we went several times. We learned to draw Daisey Duck, Tigger, Dale (chipmunk), and Goofy.
My Hard Worker!

Day 5  - Thursday August 25, 2011
We decided wednesday night that we were going to sleep in a little bit and go to the park a little bit later. We woke up around 11 and went to McDonalds for breakfast on our way to California Adventure. We had a lot of fun playing in the park going on Tower of Terror, California Screamin, Toy Story Mania, the swings and several other fun rides. Which is Dallin's favorite ride.

Later that night we had a reservation for dinner and the World of Color show. We ate dinner at a place called wine country, which was Italian food. Knowing Dallin and I we are very simple people, so the menu didnt sound that great when we first looked at it. Mostly because we didnt know what we wanted to try. Dallin got the Lamb Shank and I got the grilled chicken and noodles. It was pretty good food. Then after our meal our waitress brought us a tray of several different desserts. One of the little desserts reminded us of our first date the Spark with the creamy bottom and the tart liquid balls on the top. It was simply delicious.
World of Color

After dinner we waited for the show to start. We had tickets to be up at the front to watch the color show. The show was so neat to watch the water spray out of fountians in different colors with disney songs playing in the back ground. It was an awsome experience to see how amazing and colorful it was. But even crazier, we got soaked!! The water would spray in the air then fall on us. It was freezing, not only was the water cold but the wind was blowing which made it even worse. But Dallin was there to keep me warm while we watched the rest of the show. I am so grateful we took the time to go and watch it, it was a neat experience.

Day 6 - Friday August 26, 2011We woke up, packed up all of our things. Went to breakfast and waited at the front for our shuttle to come pick us up. Our honeymoon adventure was ending, but our life together was just beginning. We were so excited to come home and begin living together as one.

Labor Day

Today was a long day without my hubby!! He was on call from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM.

I was so grateful I was able to go visit him for dinner at 5. I brought him a sandwich and some carrots and we ate together in the break room of the Hospital. While he was being my hard worker bee, I was writing a paper for history and working on some drawings for my 2D Design class. So pretty much I was a lump on a log all night without him, moping around the kitchen wondering what to do with myself.

It is no fun without my best friend, Husband, and lover.

Bridal Pictures
